Cooperative Innovative Early College High School

Wake Early College of Health and Science (WECHS) offers students in grades 9-13 a rigorous program that focuses on graduating college and career ready students in a College Transfer Pathway area of study.

Early College

Students take both high school and college courses as part of their daily schedule.  College courses are tuition-free and course credits count on their high school and college transcripts.

Associate Degree Pathways

Students have access to college courses in an Associate Degree or College Transfer Pathway. All college courses successfully completed are transferable to the UNC system.

Wake Tech Community College Partner

Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college offering more than 250 associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates that prepare students for university transfer or immediate employment. Students at WECHS access their associate degree courses at Wake Tech’s North Campus.
